About Amranda-Entore Dance

This is a royal dance by the Acholi people of Northern Uganda. They usually perform this dance whenever they are installing their paramount chief (Ker Kworo Rwot) but also at all their functions as a form of entertainment for the guests.

The Acholi people occupy the district of Gulu, kitgum, Pader and Agago. Both men and women participate in the singing the songs that accompany the dance as well as the dancing respectively, only men have the ability of playing the instruments and the drums.
